Wissa Wassef Tapestries on sale at Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY

The Art Centre is pleased to announce that Ramses Wissa Wassef tapestries by artists Mahmoud Sayed, Basima Mohamed and Nagla Farouk will be for sale in October 2015 on the second floor of the Metropolitan Museum of Art store.  Please visit the store at the museum to touch and feel works.

Ramses Wissa Wassef Drawings on Displayed at Cairo Opera House

Starting on November 1, 2012, there shall be an exhibition of Ramses Wissa Wassef architectural archive at the main Art Gallery of the Cairo Opera House.  On November 11th, a panel discussion will feature Ikram Nosshi and Ramses Nosshi talking about the man and the renovation of the Art Centre in 2009/2010.  Ikram Nosshi is an architect and executive director of the Art Centre.  Architect Ramses Nosshi is the grandson of Ramses Wissa Wassef.  

The drawings have been on display at American University in Cairo Rear Book and Special Collection Library since February 2012 and online at its digital collection.  Below is...

The exhibition is free and open to everyone between xx AM - xx PM, Tuesday-Saturday.  

Tapestries by Reda Ahmed, Nadia Mohamed, Ali Selim and others will be for sale.
