She attended the local primary school till the age 16. After school and during summer holidays Nagla came to the centre with her mother Garya Mahmoud herself a prominent first generation weaver to play with other children and started to weave at the age of ten, to be part the second generation weaver under the guidance of Suzanne Wissa Wassef .
Nagal has a very distinctive geometrical style with emphasis on the geometry in her subject matter which varies from depicting village stories and farmer’s activates in the fields, to market places, the sea and garden landscapes with their detailed flowers and cactus.. Her tapestries have been part of the centre’s collection since the early 90s exhibited worldwide.
Nagla is marred and a mother of 4 children. Her eldest is 18 years old.
